May pole dancing during May – decorate the Maypole with flowers and with the ribbons and dance around it, making pretty patterns on the May tree.

Easter eggs will be replaced on the branches above the table by 12 golden goose eggs (if you don’t have any then they are easy to make) until Whitson. Walk around the boundaries and have tea-break together at highest point (if weather agreeable).

Whitsun – Pentecost – Golden eggs will be replaced with 12 Doves.

Time to put the Halloween decorations up and start the pumpkin/turnip carving!

Hallowe'en party in one of the houses, or main house, and each house to do a game – dooking for apples (with forks!), treacle scones, flower and sweet game etc. Residents and staff to dress up! Rehearsals for the Christmas plays will begin around this time.

All Saints Day is a feast day observing the lives of the many saints for whom there is no specific feast day during the year.

Fire works with hot chocolate in one of the Houses or in Willow

We'll make lanterns with glass jars and tissue paper on the outside, and have a Lantern walk with a story about St Martin and the Beggar. We'll have small paper lanterns available for decoration in the houses.
